Introducing LDM 3D printing (Liquid Deposition Modelling)

This is a type of 3D printing similar to the typical FDM (Filament Deposition Modelling) but instead of filament or plastic, it uses a form of liquid, or in this case, clay and ceramics.

The printer we have currently is a Tronxy Moore 1, you can find out more about it here

Here’s what the printer looks like

Here’s some images of some printing tests and work that has been done using this equipment

If you want to use the LDM printer, follow the steps below and contact a technician about your project.

  1. Complete the FabLab 3D Printing Module on canvas, you can do that HERE
  2. Download the printer profile HERE to use with the CURA slicing software
  3. Prepare your 3D printing file with a technician in the FabLab
