Frequently Asked Questions
What are your operating times?
We are open from 9-4pm Monday-Friday (excluding public holidays). During busy periods such as hand-ins we may choose to extend our hours.
We have a scheduled lunch break from 12-1pm everyday. We may decide to keep the lab open during our lunch break so that students can continue working but please be respectful during this time as techs need breaks too.
Sometimes the lab will need to be closed at short notice during our scheduled work hours and cannot be opened for health and safety reasons. We will endeavour to keep you updated via our online calendar.
The workshop is closing, what do I need to do?
When you are asked to leave due to the lab closing please pack up your things, put away equipment, and finish up on whatever machine you are using. We ask that you do this as soon as possible so that we can all go home 🙂
You may be allowed to leave your work somewhere in the lab after consulting with a technician.
