Canvas Inductions / Using the Machines

Multiple machines require you to first complete an online induction on Canvas (click here) before you can use them.

If you want or need to complete an in-person induction please book in or contact a technician via email to schedule a time.

Because inductions take time, we like groups of at least 3 people. If you have friends or classmates interested let us know and invite them along.

DES100 Your lecturer will provide you with an allocated timeslot with us for inductions. If you miss it or cannot attend the above information applies.

DES100 – We recommend a few modelling softwares on our 3D Printer page. Different softwares allow you to achieve different outcomes – Do some research before starting!

There are plenty of YouTube tutorials for different softwares that you can use.

The technicians in the DesignLab are familiar with Fusion360 and can help you troubleshoot if you are stuck. If you are using another modelling software for making models for 3D printing we may not be able to help.
