Digital Embroidery Machine
Our embroidery machine allows you to create custom designs, digitize them, then load your own threads into the machine and watch it run.
You will need to be present to set up the hoop, change the thread colour between layers, and monitor it while it runs.
This machine can also be used for sewing as well as other textile-based projects.

Sewing
Despite the name, you can set this machine up to function like a standard sewing machine. It has 727 different stitch types.
Manual Embroidery & Quilting
We have multiple presser foots and ad ons for various textile needs. You can embroider manually – please ask a technician to show you the extras.
Digital Embroidery
We use Hatch 3 software to digitize artwork ready for embroidering. You will need to speak with a technician and have an induction before using the machine on your own.

You can download a 30 day free trial of this software and make an account or we have a computer in the workshop next to the machine that you can use to set up your file.
⚠️ You must make your artwork in another program (illustrator, procreate, etc) and export it as a .png or .jpg
⚠️ Once exported, you can auto-digitizing it in Hatch 3 on the computer in the workshop or on your own machine with the trial (instructions in second video)

Auto-Digitizing
- Ask a technician to log into the computer in the lab
- Open Hatch 3
- Follow auto-digitizing instructions using your pre-made designs (video below)
- Make any adjustments you want
- Speak with a technician before exporting your design to a USB stick
